Laboratory Manager for accredited seed laboratory

You will become part of an organization that operates across national borders, as do the organization’s laboratories. 

With responsibility for daily operations comes the implementation of new analyses and methods. This will be done in collaboration with colleagues in the organization’s other laboratories.

Your areas of responsibility will include:

• Personnel management and development of employees through daily management and professional sparring
• Efficient operation and planning of the laboratory’s tasks
• Implementation of new analysis methods
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Through quality management, assurance and control, ensuring reliable analysis results
• Ensuring maintenance of national authorization and international accreditation
• Technological development and process optimization
• Participation in budgeting and ensuring correct invoicing

• You’re able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on management.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in managing a larger team, preferably in a company with many stakeholders.
• You’re able to keep calm when working under pressure.
• You have experience with laboratory operations, preferably seed analysis or a similar technical industry.
• You’re familiar with all aspects of Quality Assurance.
• You have insight into process optimization, and development of new technologies and work processes.
• You speak and write fluently in Danish and English.

In the laboratory and in the QM team, we work closely with the company’s production and logistics functions and deliver results based on precision, reliability and trust. Our laboratories are accredited to perform a wide range of analyses, such as germination and purity analyses, as well as chemical and GMO analyses.

We value collaboration and a practical approach to achieve our goals. Our corporate language is English, but daily communication in the department is primarily in Danish.

This position is based on our site in Holeby (Denmark), while being part of our global Seed Quality network. You will mainly collaborate with our headquarters in Tienen (Belgium).
